Hellooo spring! As the days get longer and the temperature gets a little warmer, we often feel like we are waking up from a long winter's nap. Hibernation has its merits (there is nothing quite as restorative as a good night's sleep, after all) but there is something so invigorating about the dawn of a brand new day and the freshness of a brand new spring season. The opportunity to begin again just never seems to get old. Energized by this glorious new season, many of us get busy with the ritual of deep cleaning our homes. But, why stop there? Spring is also the perfect time to cleanse our minds of any misguided thoughts and embrace a positive, nurturing attitude about putting our own health and well-being first.

Self-care is about valuing and  loving yourself as much as you value and love all the important people in your life. Imagine yourself in the third person. Self care is about treating yourself with as much care, concern, love and friendship as you would your significant other, your best friend, your parents or your children. Self-care is critical to your well-being so channel it; commit to it; make time for it. When you do, you become whole and the very best version of yourself and you have SO much more to offer the other VIPs in your life.
